The New Year starts officially only after the Penguin Plunge in Deep Cove. A very cool tradition, literally! Very brave people, indeed!

Jewel Box of Lights

The Bloedel Conservatory has been hosting its first ever Jewel Box of Lights, turning the dome into a sparkling jewel with thousands of little "guilt-free" LED lights. Amazing display of Christmas lights you can enjoy by walking around, without being cold!

Pretty Estate

Pretty Estate, Sandpiper Resort. Check out their eagle cams located 175 ft up a giant Douglas Fir Trees on the 10th Hole at Sandpiper. Pretty cool!

I met a Bald Eagle today...

At the Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival. Its name is Sonsie, a 10 year old Bald Eagle. Sonsie was an orphaned eaglet who was rescued and has lived at the Orphaned Wildlife (OWL) Rehabilitation Society ever since.
He was a spectacular guest at the Bald Eagle Festival this weekend.
You and your families can visit Sonsie any Saturday or Sunday between 10am and 3pm at O.W.L
You will also be able to see other eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons and learn more about these amazing birds of prey in British Columbia.
